What about the OWL?

I'll bet you've seen my home page with the picture of the owl. One of my more engaging pictures, this one is a pastel on paper. (Pastel is a chalky stick with pigment)

So there is a little story of this owl. When we were living in our last house in Arizona, we had a large picture window looking out to our patio. Through this window, from the outside, you could see all the way through to our front door which had a side window. Some of the doves would fly into the picture window and knock themselves out or die. Also, the doves liked to build a nest in the fan above the patio table. Doves make very messy nests and are not very good nest builders.

Knowing that birds are fearful of owls, I got the great idea to make a copy of my owl picture (I named it "Owl Eyes") and paste it on the window. That did the trick - scared the doves away from the window and the fan.

Do you have bird problems - buy a copy of my "Owl Eyes" direct from me.

Tomorrow I'll tell you the story behind my "Cottontail in Camouflage" painting
